尽管H-1现在还没火起来,但是它作为刃钢的优越性,尤其是在强腐蚀性环境下工作的能力,已经逐渐收到人们的重视,蜘蛛这几年来一直在拓展自己的H-1生产线,今年还推出了一款H-1的野外生存直刀,rock salt。如果您从来没有听过H-1的大名,那么有一个耳熟能详的故事您可能听过,蜘蛛刀锯钢索,没有错,那就是H-1的杰作(别误会,我没在夸H-1强,因为锯完钢索那把蜘蛛也全毁了,但是也是在夸H-1强,因为它确实锯断了钢索<这应该也和work hardening的性质有关>)。

现有H-1刀具的标准硬度:刀脊58-60,平刃刀锋65,齿刃刀锋68。
H-1的特点:
1. 化学成分不同于普通刃钢,低碳(0.15%)高镍(6%-8%)含氮(0.10%)
2. 采用渗氮技术,氮代替碳作为硬化剂,因此有厚度限制(根据sal glesser说是3mm)
3. 冷沉淀硬化,刀厂无需进行热处理,打磨硬化,工作硬度高,越磨越硬
4. 超强防锈,强到不可思议
5. 有一定的刀锋保持能力(约等于AUS6A/8A)
蜘蛛对于H-1的官方介绍
Salt Series knives feature blades made from H-1 steel. H-1 is a non-rusting alloy comparable in edge retention to established high carbon knife steels. Notably different, it’s made using nitrogen rather than carbon. Carbon creates hardness, thus sharpness, but is also the instigator in generating rust when it reacts to chloride. Substituting nitrogen for carbon makes steel harder and edge retentive but nitrogen doesn’t react with chloride- so rust never even starts.

H1 is a stainless steel which through a high nickel content 6-8% allows age hardening as opposed to the method of soak/quench/temp commonly used for most cutlery stainless steels. The main advantage of precipitation hardening steels in general is that they can be supplied to a manufacturer in an condition of optimal machinability and then the only heat treatment required is an extended very low temperature soak. This grade has the near immunity to corrosion which has been verified by independent curious individuals. Some users have reported corrosion but it seems to be an issue with contamination. Spyderco's H1 blades have tested in hardness at 58 on the spine for both plain and SpyderEdge versions and 65 HRC on the edge of the plain edge version and 68 HRC on the edge of SpyderEdge model which has been proposed to be due to work hardening
H-1是一种因为含有高百分比的镍而具有age hardening(precipitation hardening沉淀硬化)性质的不锈钢。沉淀硬化的主要优势在于钢材厂商在将钢材提供给刀具制作厂商的时候可以让H-1保持最好的打磨性,降低刀具制作厂商的加工难度,而刀具制作厂商在完成打磨之后需要做的唯一的热处理就是将H-1进行深冷浸泡以提高强度。这种钢材对腐蚀基本完全免疫,这已经被好奇的刀具使用者证实了(详见第四个链接,一个变态把H-1的刀泡在海水里一个多月,为了增强腐蚀效率还特意经常翻面,让空气和海水轮流攻击刀身,后来在开刀孔位置绑了铜线,加快电解,第一个月过后,刀身上不但没有锈蚀,他反而觉得刀身更亮了)有些H-1的使用者在自己的刀身上发现了“锈蚀”,但是看起来那些不是锈蚀而是污垢。蜘蛛的H-1刀的刀脊都是58HRC,而刀锋,齿刃的是68HRC,平刃的是65HRC,这是由于H-1特有的work hardening的性质造成的

H1 is a precipitation-hardened alloy. And yes, it is also work-hardened. Meaning that anything that you do that causes heat through friction will harden the steel further; it’s also important to note that tests have shown that it does not become brittle. The work-hardened properties of H1 have been proven by analysis independently performed by Crucible Specialty Metals. It is this that explains why an H1 blade with a SpyderEdge has better edge retention than it's PlainEdge counterpart. In the end, the analysis from Crucible found the Rc at the spine was 58, however at the edge it had increased in both the PlainEdge (to 65 Rc) and the SpyderEdge (to 68 Rc).
The Salt Series knives are being made and promoted to a market where corrosion resistance is important.

H-1 is a Japanese steel so the "H" designations for a USA steel would not correlate.
We've done extensive testing with H-1 for the past year plus. We were disappointd that Benchmade beat us to the market with H-1, but I have to give them credit for doing their homework. The steel is a break through in corrosion resistance. It is another "nitrogen added" steel like CPM-S30V, X15Tn and Infi. It is a precipitation hardening steel. Spyderco has at least one model (Delica) coming out this year made with H-1.
In "Q-Fog" testing, H-1 ranked with Cobalt based materials such as Talonite, Dendritic cobalt and stellite 6K. There was NO rust. Much better than even 440C.
Edge testing indicates cutting ability comparable to AUS-6 / AUS-8. Edge retention was not as good as Talontite or Dendritic Cobalt but was certainly acceptable for a good working knife. Cost is much less than Cobalt based materials.
I can't speak for Benchmade's design or sheath (wouldn't be proper), but I believe the design is based on Allen's and he is a very good designer.

H1 is a precipitation hardening stainless steel, extremely resistant to corrosion, fairly tough and ductile for a stainless steel and will tend to deform plastically rather than break when over stressed. The edge holding in cutting abrasive materials like cardboard and used carpet will be low compared to high wear stainless steels like VG-10 and especially S30V however it holds it own with many of the softer and less wear resistant stainless cutlery grades and has much better corrosion resistance.

因为关于H-1的官方书面材料很少见,所以基本所有关于H-1性质的言论都是来自以下3个途径,

3.用户反馈
所以我无法保证以上资料的客观真实,不过我觉得这些资料都有重要的参考价值
同时,因为我对这种钢材的了解完全倚赖上面这些资料,所以我不敢说自己有多了解这种钢材,尤其是用户手工打磨中work hardening对刀锋硬度的影响和刀锋保持能力
发这个帖子是希望能够把这种钢材带进大家的视野,针对它展开讨论,尽力把不清楚,不确定的事情都搞明白
