420不锈钢中含有碳0.15-0.6%，1％锰，铬12-14％。在工业上是一款用于生产弹簧的高强度钢材。由于其具有一定耐磨性及韧度，抗腐蚀性和防锈能力较好的特性，所以被广泛的当做生产刀片和斧头的原材料。

AUS6不锈钢，日本研发的中高端钢材，其特性和成分与440A不锈钢大致相同。
