TOM KYLE的故事前篇，Tom Kyle与Microtech, Anthony Marfione, Walter Brend

Tom Kyle是Cutters Knife&Tool的老板，是MT最辉煌时期MT的最大批发商，故事要从1995年开始讲起。

1995年，MT刚刚建厂不久，厂址在佛罗里达州。MT的老板Anthony Marfione看起来是个很有前途的年轻人，并且身边有很多贵人相助，其中一人就是后来CKT (注意，真不是CRKT)的老板Tom Kyle。1995年的时候，42岁的Tom Kyle成为了Microtech的批发商，并且在之后的5年里一直是MT最大的批发商，他也住在佛罗里达州，距离MT的厂房只有1个半小时车程。Tom每周都会去MT厂子里几次，去查看生产，和MT的员工以及老板——Anthony Marfione，谈天说地。他把Tony当成朋友交往，平时也会带Tony一起出去吃饭打猎，也把Tony当成晚辈指导，教他如何经营生意。几年之间，两个人不管是私交还是商业合作一直都还算愉快，直到1999年。

1999年的时候，Tom Kyle联系Tony，希望做一批独家的MT，提前付款，Tony同意了。于是Tom打了10000美元到Tony账上，但是紧接着Tony就取消了Tom的经销商身份，并电话告诉Tom “go fuck yourself”。Tom非常愤怒，他恨不能把Tony的脑袋拧下来，即使现在问他，他依然会认为只要能打tony一顿，吃几天牢饭都值得。Tom说“Anthony Marfione是我见过的人里唯一一个能够当面看着你的眼睛告诉你‘you are my friend’然后转头就把你钱拿走的人。”10000美元虽然不是一个大数目，也不值得打官司，但是这件事情任谁碰上了也得恶心半辈子。

这件事情才过去不久，Tony又不老实，这次是把Walter Brend给惹了。按照合同，Walter Brend给MT磨了一大批刀片，结果Tony翻脸不认人，气的Brend老爷子在刀展上就要跟Tony动手，后来通过打官司Walter Brend拿回了自己应得的酬劳，而Tom Kyle也没闲着，在这个官司里他是重要证人。

2002年，Brend给Tom Kyle打电话，作为两个已经认识多年并且同样被Anthony Marfione操过的人，他们决定合作。于是Tom Kyle驱车从佛罗里达州赶到South Carolina到WB家里，两人一拍即合，Tom付给Brend设计使用费，Brend给Tom磨了一批#2折刀的刀片，之后便诞生了CKT版的Brend #2折刀.

我也听身边几个老哥说过Anthony Marfione是刀界中最会坑人的。很多人因为这个从来不买Microtech的东西，Anthony人格太操蛋了。 Walter Brend对他确实很好连打磨技术都是Walter教的。

蝴蝶的老板Les也一样，每次跟一个刀匠合作完都要打半天官司。

但是不得不承认早期Microtech的质量确实很好。

In response to Rumors and innuendos mentioned by certain individuals amongst our cutlery and firearm industry about a potential acquisition of Microtech Knives or any of its subsidiary company's by Benchmade Knife Co. I have often wondered why when rumor strikes, no one individual has ever had the courtesy to inquire with me, Tony Marfione, directly to get the real truth about a situation. But ** an inquiry would mean that the individuals would have the facts that were correct, but that would not be acceptable for the few of you out there that pride yourselves on spreading lies and deceit about others. We have often had inquires from other companies and individuals in the past with potential business dealings, such as collaborations on products, combining companies, acquisitions, etc. These often were good exercises for us as a growing company, it always allowed us to explore the best possible avenue to take or not take.

We are at this time exploring some potential business dealings with Benchmade Knife Co. out of Oregon. We have recently had similar talks with other U.S. based entities for some time now, but Susan and I truly believe that Les DeAsis and Family have done an extraordinary job developing their business, as well as surrounding themselves with an extremely talented, highly motivated, utmost dedicated TEAM of professionals. It is very difficult in any economic climate to achieve just this. Fact of the mater is, Susan and I have had this vision, determination, and heart since the conception of our business in 1993. MSAR and Microtech Knives is here to stay, whether it is carried through our eyes or the DeAsis Family, Company and Team. The correct and decisive outcome of these negotiations will be the best outcome for all party's involved… most importantly OUR COSTUMERS!

关于Tony到处坑人，Tom的评价是，Tony就是不折不扣的piece of shit。

当然~！

目前来讲我们所喜爱的，诸如ST、MT、Busse，包括CR，如果按照我们中国人的理解，都算不得什么“大厂”

而一些大厂，基本上走入尴尬境地，不是倒闭，就是濒临倒闭，比如卡米鲁斯、Buck。

实在无法理解Tony的做法，Tom Kyle对他有情有义，这样做是另有隐情还是Tony人品太差？有双方当事人的说法吗？无论如何，欺骗朋友，令人不齿。
另外，口碑如此差，还能在刀具界混的风生水起，MT的刀确实有两把刷子

对比三个人在行业里的口碑，我还是比较相信Tom Kyle和Walter Brend。Tony人品差几乎是尽人皆知的事情。
至于这个故事，我只能站在Tom的角度讲，信不信由您
